Numbers come from code, not opinion
Every dimension, percentage, speed and RPM figure on RimRatio is calculated from the tire size code with the published formulas on our methodology page. The calculation engine is covered by automated tests that run on every update.
Use of AI and automation
We use software — including AI writing and coding assistants — to draft explanatory text and to build the calculators. Text is checked against the formulas and the standards listed on the methodology page, and numbers on the site are generated by tested code. We do not have engineers or tire professionals reviewing pages, and we do not claim otherwise. We do not use AI to invent experiences, test results, quotes, experts, reviews or ratings, and we never present automated content as personal testing.
Sources and standards
Tire size notation, load indexes and speed symbols follow the standardized conventions used by ISO, ETRTO and the Tire and Rim Association. Where a page refers to an industry guideline (such as keeping diameter within about ±3%), we say that it is a guideline and that the vehicle maker's guidance takes precedence.
Scope and safety
We describe geometry. We do not state that a size fits, is approved for or is safe on a specific vehicle, we do not give tire-pressure recommendations, and we point to the vehicle placard, owner's manual and qualified tire professionals for fitment, load and safety decisions.
Which pages we publish
We publish dedicated pages only for a curated selection of sizes and comparisons — chosen from sizes and upgrade pairs discussed in owner forums and widely used sizes, and to be revised as search data becomes available — and each page must contain computed information specific to that size or pair. We do not mass-generate pages for every possible combination; the calculators handle any size.
Advertising
Ads, when shown, are served by third parties, are labeled or visually separated from content, and have no influence on calculations or editorial content. We do not accept paid placements in results.
Corrections
We fix verified errors promptly and log meaningful corrections on the corrections page.
